Sen. Elizabeth Warren just did a remarkable job of sabotaging her own campaign.
The 2020 presidential candidate recently declared that she had turned down a town hall hosted by Fox News. She declared that the network was “a hate-for-profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracists.”
In a lengthy Twitter rant, the senator announces that participating in a town hall by that network would both legitimate Fox News and make them a profit.
But Fox News doesn’t need an appearance by a third-rate candidate to be legitimate.
The network regularly outperforms its rivals and notable the town hall it hosted for candidate Bernie Sanders brought in the highest ratings of any town hall currently in this election.
So all Warren has really done is deny herself an opportunity to reach out to those who oppose her, something you’d think a potential president would value.
