Witchcraft On the Rise Since Trump

Everyone at this point already knows feminism and witchcraft go hand in hand. Now with the rise of feminism, witchcraft has shown its ugly face once again. Although this time, it’s coming back strong.

According to Laurie Penny at The Baffler, since President Trump has taken office, witches have been performing a variety of spells and hexes in an attempt to “bind” the president from doing things such as defunding Planned Parenthood or protecting religious freedoms.

Penny wrote:

Today, witchcraft is back in vogue, a heady brew of nineties nostalgia, goth revivalism and plain, arcane fun sloshing around social media. Days after Donald Trump won the U.S. election, videos of women “hexing” Trump went viral around the world, encouraging budding magical practitioners to burn images of the president-elect to bring his works to ruin.

  • bwyatt33

People are really crazy. Do they really think their black magic will work? According to Bill Clinton, Hillary is a Satan worshiper. That, I can believe. Too bad they didn’t try their hexes on Obama.

    • Wumingren

Maybe they did, but it availed them nothing.

  • Ginger Grutzius

Way too many Christians praying for the president and for our country, good will always prevail, don’t you know that, silly witches & demons.

    • SteveO

Amen, so many lost luciferians, utterly devoid of circumspect for the wickedness they conjure at the behest of old nick!

  • cathy

    God Bless President Trump!

    • Donald Johnson

      God Bless all Gods people.

  • Richard Glynn

This is pretty funny. I hope someone makes a Lifetime movie about this.

  • Jimwolf

Just what America needs another coven of W(B)itches like Hillay’s..

  • Gerry Costa

Must be there is no REAL news to be lied about today so they throw in this type of BS. The head witch got defeated by the good — end of story !!!!!

  • jim jones

    Give us a fucking break!

  • Dexter L. Wilson

As Christians, we have authority over these attempts to stop him. Just take your authority and BIND THE DEVIL AND THESE ATTEMPTS IN JESUS NAME!!!!!!!

  • Earl Spencer

This is the time to pray to THE LORD for HIS protection from the evil forces and people that are and have been trying to defeat AMERICA and President Trump. They also are trying to keep what is best for AMERICA and the AMERICAN PEOPLE from coming to past. The evil in AMERICA know who and what they are.

  • Deplorable Irredeemable Susan

The God I serve is the one true God, creator of heaven and earth.
He has everything under control, and He protects our POTUS.
Evil is under His (God’s) feet and will not succeed.
We have Christians globally, praying and believing in God’s right ways.
Eventually, “Every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess, that Jesus
Christ is Lord”. “The fool has said in the heart, that there is no God”.
Merry Christmas! MAGA! God bless President Trump!

    • Howard Kirshenbaum

I am sure he will, just like he blessed Obama.

      • Deplorable Irredeemable Susan

Satan blessed Obama, but in the end, he will be in hell with his leader.

        • Howard Kirshenbaum

And you know this how? I would think that getting us out of a recession, having record low unemployment, record profits and cash reserves and having a moral family man in office would be god’s blessing. He also was just as religious outwardly as Trump is or Bush was. He also didn’t have the baggage of being mysoginistic, and biased against Blacks and Muslims.

          • Deplorable Irredeemable Susan

You’re giving Obama credit for what President Trump has done.
But, that is what liberals do, and they blame what they have criminally
done our now POTUS. Obama covered for criminal Hillary. He sold us
out to Iran. He let Muslim criminals free from Gitmo to go back to the
middle east to fight with terrorists. He sold arms to Hezbollah. He loves
BLM and Antifa. He illegally brought in the DACA people. He claimed that
he would stand with the Muslims. He is working to undermine an elected
sitting President. Against overwhelming odds and constant badgering
24/7, Trump is still on the job to MAGA! Obama did his best to destroy
America, but President Trump is turning things around. Thank God for him!

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

So what did I give Obama credit for that Trump has done?
Did Trump get us out of the recession? No He wasn’t even running for office when this happened.
Did he have record low unemployment when he took office? Yes and to his credit he made it even better.
Did corporations have record profits in 2015 and 2016? Yes and that was before Trump.
Did they have record cash reserves before Trump took office? Yes they did.

Seems like what I said was really true.

Did he let Muslim criminals go free from Gitmo? Yes after they served lots of years of detention and all were deemed by most everyone in the Justice department to be non-combatants. The dangerous ones are still there (at great expense).

I understand that your echo chamber doesn’t like the Iran deal but they still don’t have nuclear weapons which they would have had if the deal didn’t go through. And it wasn’t the U S giving away anything, it included our 6 closest allies.

He didn’t bring in the DACA people. They were already here. These are kids that have basically known only one country and are educated here and speak English as their first language and many of them are working at good jobs and paying taxes. So if Reagan can give amnesty to millions of illegals you don’t seem to think that 800,000 people who are growing up in this country don’t deserve to stay after all these years?

Yes we loath the Trumpster. As a person he is despicable. He wants to Make America Great Again yet most people think that America is (or at least was) great. And again? That denotes taking it back to some time before. When? The 1920’s so we can have another depression? Back to when Blacks had to have separate accommodations? Back when women didn’t vote? Back when only some had equal rights? So far no one has taken the challenge to give me an honest answer with a coherent explanation of the position. Trump sure hasn’t. It’s only MAGA, fill in the blanks.

If this is what your god gives us, I wouldn’t want anything to do with him. At least your god should take away his twitter account.

          • Deplorable Irredeemable Susan

Hey if you want to believe a fairy story that’s fine.
Not true, but go ahead if it helps you feel better.
President has done more good in 12 months than Obammy
            did in 8 years.
Thank God that our President has undone most of a “so called”
            legacy that nearly destroyed America!
            Stock market at record high.
            Unemployment down.
Rebuilding our military that Obammy decimated.
Trump is getting the economy going.
Trump visits the troops at Christmas time.
He is attempting to get rid of illegals Obammy brought in.
He is attempting to secure our borders.
He is fighting to get rid of criminal infested
sanctuary cities.Obammy bud Rahm Emanuel is fighting him.
He did NOT gift Iran with money to develop nuclear
weapons and Obammy got NOTHING in return.
            Trump is destroying ISIS.
He stands up to rocket man,
He stands up to the UN.
He tweets his people for we get the true picture!!!
I am so proud of our President Trump! MAGA!!

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

“Stock market at record high.” Granted but it also was at a record high when he came into office.

“Unemployment down.” Granted but Obama lowered it from 10+% to 4.3%
so the decrease under Trump was only .2% Not bad but not all on his own.

“Trump is getting the economy going” Sorry but the corporation had record profits and record cash reserves before Trump took office.

“Trump visits the troops at Christmas time.” Obama did it in 2012

“He is attempting to get rid of illegals Obama brought in.” Like who? Obama was chastised for rounding up and sending back a record number of illegals.

“He is attempting to secure our borders.” Well Obama built 650 miles of fence to stop either vehicles in desert areas or people in other areas.

“He did NOT gift Iran with money to develop nuclear” Neither did Obama. The US and six other countries got together and got Iran to stop building nuclear capability. Not really bad. And they gave them NOTHING but their own money that the countries had confiscated many years before. It’s called negotiations.

Look at what Trump has gotten from North Korea. NOTHING. The have all their weapons and nuclear capability. That’s not standing up to anything. Not that I think there is much anyone can do other than threaten them IF they do something rash.

“Trump is destroying ISIS.” If all goes well and another group doesn’t crop up I will give him lots of credit. Don’t get ahead of your skis just yet.

“He stands up to the UN.” Right he vocalized what had been agreed to two years prior.

Oh you forgot one. Obama cut the annual deficit in half (more actually) and Trump actually will have increased this year’s deficit over last year’s deficit.

            All BS

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

Only in your closed mind. Tell me which one doesn’t have the statistics to back it up. What are your statistics?

    • dokkulfr

Yes. You believe all this shot because a book tells you so. That is pretty fucked up. And of course you will dismiss anyone who disagrees with you or perhaps even kill them. Fuck monotheism.

      • Deplorable Irredeemable Susan

Your remarks only prove who and what you are.

        • dokkulfr

Thankfully not a brainless fundamentalist who thinks one book gives them a complete understanding of reality. And btw your remarks don’t help your case. What loving Christians…wishing destruction and worse on those different from you. And all in the name of your loving god that comes across like the worst of humans. But it’s okay. He’s god. It’s like the inquisition all over again. No thank you.

          • Deplorable Irredeemable Susan

The fool has said in his heart there is no God.
Yep, the Bible has all the answers to life and eternity.
I am not wishing for destruction, that has been determined
by freedom of choice. People can accept Christ and live, or
they can reject Him and face destruction. Free choice. I pray that
            they accept God’s love.

  • Wesmo

Incredible how superstitious people are in this day and age. People actually believe we can control the weather.

  • Marty Koval

The Bible has a lot to say about witchcraft. Witchcraft and its many cousins, such as fortune-telling and necromancy, are Satan’s counterfeits to holy spirituality. The Bible expressly condemns all forms of witchcraft. Since early times, people have sought supernatural experiences God did not endorse.

People who practice witchcraft will experience what Revelation 21:8 states: But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Unless these people repent and surrender their lives to Christ as their Lord and Savior, they will experience what Luke 13:38 states: “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.

    • Howard Kirshenbaum

And the stories in Revelation will show themselves when?

      • Marty Koval

The exact date of Christ’s second advent is unknown. Only the Father God knows the exact time and He does this to determine the people who truly fully surrender their life to Christ while they are still alive.

The following Bible scriptures states the following on the second advent:

Matthew 24:42 – Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

1 John 2:28 – And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming

Revelation 1:7 – “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him.” There will not be a person on earth who is unaware of Jesus’ return. Jesus Himself describes the manner of His coming.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 – According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

The people who do not accept Christ into their hearts as Lord and Savior and fully surrender themselves prior to their earthly death or the second advent of Christ will be sentenced to eternal death in the Lake of Burning Sulfur. When you see Christ coming back the second time, it is too late to be saved.

If you want to be saved, do it now. Because tomorrow, it might be too late.

        • Howard Kirshenbaum

Sounds like scare tactics rather than any kind of proof. Better be ready and on the right side or the gremlins will get you. Like a bunch of children that need to be scared into doing what is right. That’s not religion or a way of life. That is just controlling a group of people who will believe in almost any myth.

Better yet would be to live by positive ideas of not doing any harm and being charitable to one another no matter who they are and what they believe. Then when you find out that there is no afterlife you will have lived the good life for the right purposes, not because you were scared into doing it. And if there IS an afterlife this great god will accept you with open arms because you would have lived a life that would have made him proud.

          • Marty Koval

Christianity is not a blind faith. It is the only religion that can prove itself, and a main source of that proof is the Bible. The Bible is the truth and many non believers over the centuries have tried to disprove it with no success. They ended up being convinced, that being a non believer took tremendously more faith than being a Christian. Most ended up giving their lives to Christ so they could be saved.

There is a great deal of scientific evidence that supports the Bible. The Bible is not a science book, yet it is scientifically accurate. There are statements consistent with paleontology, astronomy, meteorology, biology, anthropology, hydrology, geology and physics,

The Bible is 100% accurate in predicting the future. These future predictions are called “prophecies.” The Old Testament was written between approximately 1450 BC and 430 BC. During that time, many predictions of the future were recorded in the Bible by God’s prophets. Of the events that were to have taken place by now, everyone happened just the way they predicted it would. No other “sacred writing” has such perfectly accurate predictions of the future.

Special proof exists for the New Testament, since Christians were strongly persecuted by both the Jews and the Roman government. If the New Testament writings were false, these two groups would have produced a great deal of evidence to stop the growth of this “sect.” None exists.

People who have not read and studied the Bible rigorously and with an open mind are usually the first ones to say the Bible is not the truth. They are being deceived by Satan the Great Deceiver. Satan knows his final faith and he wants to take as many ill informed, gullible, harden heart people to the Lake of Burning Sulfur with him.

Read, study and meditates on these three Bible scriptures from the Book of John, chapter 3 verses 16 to 18: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

As a saved Christian, it is my job to tell people the truth about Jesus and how you can have the promise of eternal life (John 3:16) or eternal death (John 3:18). God gives you the free will to make this decision. It is up to you to make the right decision.

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

“The Bible is the truth and many non believers over the centuries have tried to disprove it with no success. ” There is a reason for that. You can’t disprove a negative. Can you prove to me when you stopped beating your wife? Of course not. You never beat her but you wouldn’t be able to prove that concept. Same thing with religion. And the fact is, we don’t have to disprove it. The problem is, that you can’t prove it based on the facts.

Would you say that Harry Potter was the greatest wizard in the world based on all those books that were written by one person? Of course not. So how can you say that books written thousands of years ago by many people, some unknown, are absolutely accurate? Never changed? Never mistranslated? Never misunderstood? Is that why the Rabbis spent countless hours writing about each sentence of the old testament arguing as to its real meaning?

As for prophecies, please tell me which ones actually came about that were not very general in nature or written after the event was happening. The whole story of Christ fitting all those old testament prophecies is not that hard to do. If you know the prophecies before hand, how hard is it to write a book about your hero that fits those prophecies. Especially when there was absolutely nothing written by the hero or about him during his lifetime.

Your use of the bible as proof doesn’t really work for you are arguing that god wrote or inspired the bible because god said so in the bible. How many other books would you say that about? The Greek and Roman mythology? Islam? Mormonism? Buddhism? Thousands of other religions?

I understand your tie to your religion and you are more than entitled to it but your religion is no different than any other when it comes to actual provable truth. They are all stories to explain the unexplainable. You Satan concept is all your own. He is something you blame for anyone that disagrees with you. It makes it so that you don’t have to give up your perfection complex of your deity but it doesn’t negate the fact that Christians are exactly the same as anyone else in the world. Some good, some bad. Your religious concept is nothing other than elitism in disguise. And not a good disguise at that.

          • Marty Koval

The Bible book of Isaiah was written by the prophet Isaiah between 745 to 727 BC. During that time he prophesied the following in Isaiah 7:14 – Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and] will call him Immanuel .

This prophesies was fulfilled over 700 years later with the birth of Christ as recorded in book of Matthew 1:23 – The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

The prophet Isaiah prophesied in the 7th century BC, and King David wrote in the Book of Psalms in 10th century BC about Christ’s resurrection from the grave.

Isaiah 53:10-12 – For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Psalms 16:9-10 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

These prophesies were filled in Christ’s resurrection from the grave in AD 33.

The prophet Isaiah prophesized in 7th. century BC the following in Isaiah 13:19-21 – Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms, the pride and glory of the Babylonians, will be overthrown by God like Sodom and Gomorrah. She will never be inhabited or lived in through all generations; there no nomads will pitch their tents, there no shepherds will rest their flocks. But desert creatures will lie there, jackals will fill her houses; there the owls will dwell, and there the wild goats will leap about.

This prophesies was fulfilled in 539 BC, when Cyrus the Great, of Persia, circumvented Babylon’s impenetrable walls and gates by cleverly redirecting the Euphrates River with deep trenches. Culminating on October 13, Persian troops then marched out of the north along the shallow riverbed beneath Babylon’s walls and secured the city in a single night. The night of the attack caught the Babylonians by surprise as it corresponded with an annual festival they were celebrating. From this point in history, Babylon only declined.

These are just a few of the recorded prophesies that actually occurred.

God has given each one of us the free will to make the right or wrong decisions in life. The choice is yours to make. Remember, eternity is a very long time and there is life either in Heaven or Hell after our death on this earth.

I will pray for you to someday see the truth and light that is well documented in the Bible.

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

“The Bible book of Isaiah was written by the prophet Isaiah between 745 to 727 BC. During that time he prophesied the following in Isaiah 7:14 – Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel .”

No, Isaiah was written at the time you said and knowing this prophecy, the writers about Jesus made him fit into that prophecy. The idea of virgin birth was not new at the time of Jesus as other religions also had virgin births and most of them were by women whose names started with M.

The Babylonians being overthrown? Great prediction. Every country for all time was being overthrown. And no one ever set foot in that land ever again? I think it is even inhabited now. That could have been any country. Change the name and it has been overthrown at one point of another.

Realize that when writes historical fiction one takes known facts and fits them into the story of their hero. Think Outlander and Scottish history. Not that hard to do.

          • Marty Koval

            Salvation is in Christ only:

There is the fact affirmed by Christ that there can be no eternal life apart from him. In this age when the spirit of pseudo-ecumenism has invaded the hearts of many, this truth needs to be vigorously pressed. The Son of God made no apology for his declaration in John 14:6 – “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”.

There is simply none other in which salvation is to be found, which is seen in Acts 4:12 – “there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”

If that sounds narrow. So be it! The question is not one of bigotry, but one of truth. Are the claims of Christ true? Absolutely. Will the evidence support such? Absolutely. When you read, study and meditate on the word of God with an open mind it will change you into the person God wants you to be.

            Many Choose to Reject Christ:

Jesus’ teaches that it is possible to exercise that personal will-power by which men make the decision as to whether or not they will be counted with Christ or against him. Unaware – Some are simply unaware that they are lost. Unconvinced and unimpressed – Some will not come to Christ because they are not convinced of his uniqueness. Deceived and satisfied – Some do not come to the Lord because, due to false teaching, they have concluded that they are already associated with him. Uncommitted – Some will not come to Jesus because they are unwilling to pay the price he requires. Afraid – Some will not come to the Lord because they fear failure.

The vast majority will turn their backs to God because of their love for this world, procrastination to make a life saving commitment, or believe there is no God at all. These beliefs are absolute deceptions of the ways of this world, which you see in Matthew 7:13-14 – “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Have a wonderful and Blessed day.

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

I am god because there is a book that says I am god. I even said it in that book so I self affirm that I am god. I can do all those good things because I said I can do all those good things in the book that was written about me after I died. Everything else is wrong or bad because my book says so and they say that I agree with that stance. And the book also says that those who don’t come around to this way of thinking will be severely punished when they die.

That’s what you are saying when you use your scriptures to explain your position. It’s called arguing in circles. And you are completely wrong as evidenced by the myriad of other beliefs of god or gods or no god at all. There is no difference in how people lead their lives. Religion is not the determinative factor. People of all faiths and deities and none at all live their lives in a way that you say is what Christ would want us to live. They do it because we are born with that knowledge and it is instinctive to the species.

Whether there is an afterlife is open for speculation as no one has even come back and described it in the first person. When we die, one or both of us will be wrong. Until then, I will continue with the concept of “do no harm” and being loving and charitable. If that isn’t good enough then the deity would not be one that I would want to be connected to.

          • Marty Koval

Christianity isn’t based on earning God’s love or keeping a spiritual checklist of virtues. Like trying to live a good live, doing good deeds, loving others, trying to live a Holy life (which is impossible in our current bodies), showing compassion, etc. These are attributes of Christians and some non-believers, but they do not result in your salvation.

Salvation comes from what is stated in Ephesians 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

All other religions in the world and people who are living a secular life style do not comprehend this doctrine. There is only one way for salvation and eternal life and that is the gift from God (The Father, Son and Holy Spirit).

The vast majority of people (past, present and future) will reject Christianity because they do not want to change their life style, they believe being a Christian is a boring or they do not want to surrender their self will for God’s will.

If you want to receive Christ into your life, follow these basic steps:

Admit your need (I am a sinner).
Be willing to turn from your sins, and ask God to forgive you (repent).
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit (receive Him as Lord and Savior).

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from running my own life, and now I ask You to run it. I invite You to come into my heart and life. I trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. Too deepen this relationship you should:

Read the Bible everyday to know Christ better.
Talk to God in prayer every day.
            Tell others about Christ.
Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
As a Christ’s representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.

God bless you as you do.

” but they do not result in your salvation.” Salvation from what? As we would say in Yiddish. That’s your mishugas. (craziness) Be happy in your belief but don’t be so elitist to think that it is the only way for everyone. I would think that having to live for an eternity with a bunch of elitist whatevers would actually be the hell that you are running from.

What you are really saying is that in order to do it the only right way, you need to immerse yourself in the religion and never question reality. If it goes wrong, blame someone else (Satan). Don’t even think how that concept even came about.

Do I sin? NO. Do I make mistakes? Yes, and when realized, I try and correct those mistake and apologize to the person hurt (if there is one) by the mistake. I cannot see the need for dumping another layer on it. Surely, my birth does not make me a sinner.

As for my life, I already demonstrate my love and concern for others. Don’t for a minute think that this attribute needs Christ because there are people all around the world that have nothing to do with Christ that demonstrate love and concern and do the right things.

The Bible clearly teaches that “ALL PEOPLE HAVE SINNED”–Except Jesus.

Romans 3:9-10 -“What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one.”
Romans 3:23 -“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Psalm 14:3 -“They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.”

            What is sin?

James 4:17 – If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
1 John 5:17 – All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

Sinning is just as simple as thinking in your mind something not good of another person or a not approving of how others look. That is called judging and that is a sin, which you see in Matthew 7:1-5 – “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Believe it or not, all people intentionally sin each day. Sin is as simple as giving another person a disapproving look, rolling you eyes, having negative thoughts of others, saying that I am not a sinner.

Making the comment “I do not sin” is a sin because that is a false statement, which is stated in
Galatians 6:3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Saying I have not sin is stating I am Holy. No one is Holy except the Father God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. This is why all people need to except Jesus Christ into their heart as Lord and Savior. Without Him we are nothing.

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

“The Bible clearly teaches that “ALL PEOPLE HAVE SINNED”–Except Jesus.”
Well, your bible is clearly wrong.

:James 4:17 – If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
1 John 5:17 – All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.: That is your concept. You are forcing yourself to live under those precepts but they are wrong. All wrongdoing is not sin. All wrongdoing is wrong and when that wrongdoing results in another being hurt it is our obligation to right that wrong, not by pledging fealty to a deity but to go to the wronged person and try to make it right. It starts with an apology.

Based on your concept, a person can lead a reprehensible life for 70 years and then in the end decide to come to Christ and all will be forgiven and he will get to heaven. I prefer my way. Live an entire life to the best of one’s ability, be charitable and loving without any threat of consequences from a deity.

” Without Him we are nothing.”
Wrong again. God made us in his image and gave us our knowledge. We know how to properly act and will act that way if we are not taught to hate and be superior to others. (in most cases). We are everything that god intended us to be. No need for Christ or anything else. The creation was made to be self sustaining.

Even in your books, the god you talk about condones many of the sins you talk about. He also sets out many ignorant rules (outdated based on real science). This is why we know that god would not have written the bible. If he had he wouldn’t have talked about women being unclean and untouchable during their periods for one. We wouldn’t have admonitions about wearing clothing of different fabrics because god would have known about what was to come. We wouldn’t have admonitions about unclean animals because he would have told us all about how to make them OK to eat. And he would have taught us about good sanitation and much more of medical science so that his people would not die of simple diseases.

          • Marty Koval

Per you own words, you said that you never sinned. When I pointed this out to you that it is impossible for a human to be Holy, you ignored this point in your reply. The first step in redemption is to acknowledge your sins and to ask God to forgive you, which we see in 1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The reason Jesus had to die for our sins was so that we could be forgiven and go to be with the Lord. Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9), and only God can satisfy the Law requirements of a perfect life and perfect sacrifice that cleanses us of our sins.

Positional” forgiveness, or judicial forgiveness, is that which is obtained by every believer in Christ. In our position as members of the body of Christ, we have been forgiven of every sin we have ever committed or ever will commit. The price paid by Christ on the cross has satisfied God’s wrath against sin, and no further sacrifice or payment is necessary. When Jesus said, “It is finished,” He meant it. Our positional forgiveness was obtained then and there.

Confession of sin will help to keep us from the discipline of the Lord. If we fail to confess sin, the discipline of the Lord is sure to come until we do confess it. As stated previously, our sins are forgiven at salvation (positional forgiveness), but our daily fellowship with God needs to stay in good standing (relational forgiveness). Proper fellowship with God cannot happen when you do not confess sin in our lives. Therefore, we need to confess our sins to God as soon as we are aware that we have sinned, in order to maintain close fellowship with God.

Every day we need to lay down our crimson filthy rags of human sinfulness at the foot of the cross and fully surrender our self will (feelings, motives, thoughts) for God’s will. Pray that Jesus our advocate will place His robe of righteousness over our heavy shoulders. And acknowledge we have nothing to give back, but a heart filled with crimson stain.

Again, we have all sinned. Not acknowledging this, is a sin itself.

The Bible is not my Bible. It is the Bible of the One and Only God. The words in the Bible were recorded by mankind under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Millions of Christians over the centuries have been killed for their faith, and was willing to die for their faith in Christ, because they knew the promise of eternal life was guaranteed.

Without the Bible, nor reading and studying it, a person can never fully understand how sinful they really are. Many people in this world think they are good, but they are basing this appraisal on human and worldly standards, which are greatly flawed. Or you are comparing you life against others who are more sinful , which gives you false security that you are a good person.

I believe you are basically a good person and have tried to live a good life based on human standards. Unfortunately, human standards are flawed compared to God’s standards, because we have all been born into sin.

We all need to look into a mirror everyday and say what is in 1 Timothy 1:15 – Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst.

In our own ways, we are all the worst sinners (including myself). This is being totally truthful to God, and sets you on the road to living a truly God centered life and not a worldly life, which is deeply flawed in sin.

I will continue to pray for your salvation so I can meet you in heaven at the second coming of Christ. The second coming of Christ is a guarantee promise. Don’t believe me, pick up the Bible, start reading, studying and meditating on it. Find yourself a good Christian based Bible church that teaches strictly out of the Bible. Befriend other church members, attend Bibles studies, get involved in prayer groups, Over time, you will come to realize what you have been lacking in your life.

            Have a Blessed day.

“. When I pointed this out to you that it is impossible for a human to be Holy, you ignored this point in your reply. ”

I probably ignored it because what being holy is depends on how you look at a religion. It’s an irrelevant concept. So no one is holy. So that puts us all on the same level of not being holy. It doesn’t really mean anything. I just need to live a good, loving, charitable life. If some think that is holy, great. If not, so be it. It seems to be in the mind of the judge or whether it matters at all.

“The price paid by Christ on the cross has satisfied God’s wrath against sin, ”
Wrath against sin? God hates sin so much that he seems to justify it often in the bible. He says one thing and does or condones another. He tells us not to murder right after he murders thousands of innocent Egyptian children. He condones polygamy and having sex with slaves or concubines. He rewards cheaters and he plays favorites with people based on their occupation.

I have read the old testament from start to finish. It says nothing that believe. As a matter of fact, you give excuses so you don’t have to follow any of it. You say the 10 commandments are sacred yet you don’t keep the Sabbath. You pick pagan dates to venerate Jesus and your stories are old dredged up stories of virgin births and crucifixion that had been around for hundreds of years.

I have come to my conclusions by reading as much as you have, just not the same texts. I read outside the box and compare that to what is inside the box. Don’t forget, what is in the new testament was put there by the church edict. Many that didn’t read like they wanted were left out, some burned. It’s all about control. If you like the control that this religion holds over you, you are more than welcome to it but you must also realize that there is a sane world outside your little circle that is just as religious (or not) and leads as good a life as you and those in your religion. You really aren’t any different in actions or deeds than any other. And as I said before, one or both of us will be wrong when we die. Merry Christmas to you.

          • Marty Koval

When you read and study the Bible it needs to be done with an literal interpretation. When you use a non-literal method of translating scripture, you are assigning you own meaning to the words. The problem with this is that when someone starts assigning meanings to words other than their normal meaning, a person can decide that a word, phrase, or sentence means anything he wants it to mean. All objectivity concerning the meaning of words is lost. When words lose their meaning, communication ceases. What you are doing is called using a dual hermeneutic. (Hermeneutics is the study of the principles of interpretation.). However, this is not how God has intended for language and communication to be. God communicates to us through His written word, with objective meanings to words, so that ideas and thoughts can be communicated.

God does not condone sin. God is a patient God and has given mankind many opportunities to turn from their sinful ways. There are many times in the Old Testament where God punished the people for doing evil in the eyes of the Lord, which you see in Genesis, 1 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings and other Bible books. In Genesis 6:5-7 and 11-12 – The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the LORD said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.
In Genesis, God wiped out all the people who were doing evil in the eyes of the Lord, except for Noah and his family, who were blameless among the people of his time. After the flood, mankind over time resorted back to their sinful ways, which we still see going on today. This event was the precursor to the last days that are defined in Revelations.

A time is coming when God will judge the world again, like He did in Genesis. This is defined in Revelation 20:1-10 – And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Revelation 21:8 describes what happens to the unbelievers – But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

The ten commandments were made for mankind, not for God. The ten commandments were never intended to be an end in themselves. The primary purpose of the law is to restore RELATIONSHIP between holy God and sinful man and establish the foundation for RELATIONSHIP with one another. The commandments are like signposts guiding us on the road to this end. Without such understanding, the Ten Commandments are merely a set of rules that lead to death, discouragement, and pride.

The whole law hangs on what is said in Mark 12:30-31 – Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

God loves people! He gave His law in order to show people their need for a Savior and ultimately to restore fellowship with His most precious of creation – PEOPLE, through the work of Jesus Christ!
We were created for relationship with God and one another.

I am an Evangelical Christian (non denomination) belonging to an independent Bible church. We emphasize the teachings and authority of the Scriptures in both the Old and New Testament, in opposition to the institutional authority of the church itself, and stress as paramount the tenet that salvation is achieved by personal conversion to faith in the atonement of Christ.

I also realize that there are many sane people in this world and I want to tell them all about Jesus. It is our duty as Christians to evangelize and tell all people about the good news of Jesus Christ. I also realize that the vast majority of people do not want to know about Jesus and will outright reject Him. They are setting themselves up for a very bleak future at the end times. The end times is not fable, but an actual event that will occur someday.

The Bible story of the 12 spies being sent into the promise land was told to tell people who will obey and follow through with God’s directive and who would not. Of the 12, only Caleb and Joshua obeyed God’s directive and said yes with God’s help we can take the promise land. The other 10 spies said no. This story is basically saying that only 15% of all humans will surrender their lives to Christ and have that intimate personal relationship with Him. The rest will not be saved and will be going to the lake of Burning Sulfur for eternity.

I will continue that you and your family will be in this 15% group.

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

“The whole law hangs on what is said in Mark 12:30-31 – Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

So you have picked up the cornerstone of the Jewish religion. Go to the real source. Jews say this every day in their prayers. Deut 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” These were not new to Jesus as this is what he would have done with his fellow Jews.

The second of these is from Lev 19:17. Again you go to your new testament to talk about the old testament rather than going to the old testament. What strikes me as funny is how many Christians say that Leviticus is for the Levites and doesn’t need to be followed. The admonitions are only for the Levites and not for Christians. Funny how that works when you cherry pick what you want to follow.

Now for the idea of interpreting the bible. So there are no metaphors or allegories in the writings of the bible. Every word that is written is exactly what it means? Funny how few people actually believe that. When people have gone through the new testament, they have come up with changes that were intentional or inadvertent based on translation. The old testament is written without vowels and a change in the reading of a word could change the entire context of the writings. There are arguments as to who wrote what in the old and new testament and how accurate any of these are. Then there is the veracity of the new testament based on the fact that there were lots of politics going on with the disciples and writers of the letters and stories. Some were written when only the Jews were trying to be converted. Later it was the gentiles and the pagans. Then the Romans, then the Goths in northern Europe. The religion changed drastically in the first 4 hundred years and when the new testament was put together, much was left out because it wan’t always positive to the religion and the church. So take it literally? You would have to show me exactly how this can be done under those circumstances. We know for sure that there are stories in the new testament that are not in older versions of the same books.

As for god wiping out everyone except Noah, well that’s an interesting story. Why wouldn’t this omnipotent god know ahead of time that his creation of man would be so “sinful”? And doesn’t strike you as odd that he would pick from the imperfect lot of people to go forward and even think that things would be different. Remember, he knows all and has vast powers and is perfect.

God is pictured as our father. I know the example that my father set for me and that I set for my children and grandchildren. Never would he or I say “do as I say, not as I do”. That is the reference to the murdering of the innocent children in Egypt and then telling his children not to murder. We have better morals than that in that we cringe when we are at war and a school or hospital gets hit even by accident. And saying that god can do anything he wants to his creation is a cop out.

The article was actually about witchcraft. I have known witches who practice Wican and the ones I know are great people. They lead as good a life towards others that you or I do. Their god is different. Their prayers are different. They have a deference for the environment as do many cultures. Their deities are probably just as moral as you think yours is. To have the situation whereby they are willing to come to the forefront and show their belief is just great. They aren’t putting hexes on you or anyone else. Truth is, your religion is full of internal hexes that you put on yourselves. What you need to do is worry about yourself, your family and your friends within your religion. You don’t have enough time to pray for all the intelligent people who have decided that their own religion is better than yours and is just as right and true as your.

Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

          • Marty Koval

I know you are struggling to understand how people like myself and many others have surrender our lives to Jesus Christ. Current believers are like the original disciples. The disciples prior to knowing and dedicating their lives to Jesus, were men living normal sane lives just as you and I. They were fisherman, tax collectors and tradesmen of some sort. Regardless of their professions, eleven of the disciples immediately left behind everything to follow Jesus. They followed Jesus, because He was telling them about the truth and the light of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus sent these ordinary men out, endowed with His own power and authority. As long as they relied on His strength, they were unstoppable. “Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

The original disciples and many, many millions of other converts over the centuries laid down their lives to spread the truth about Jesus Christ. Paul was beheaded. Peter was crucified, upside down at his request. Andrew was crucified. Thomas was pierced through with the spears of four soldiers. Philip was cruelly put to death. Matthew stabbed to death. Bartholomew means of death unknown. James stoned and then clubbed to death. Simon the Zealot means of death unknown. Matthias by burning. John was the only one of the original disciples not to die a violent death.

Just recently in the Middle East we have seen thousands of Christians’ that were killed by various cruel ways because they refuse to rescind their faith in Jesus Christ. This faith in Jesus Christ has been demonstrated over and over again for centuries and will continue until the second coming of Christ.

When you look at the dedication of the disciples, you know they truly believed that Jesus was the son of God and they would have the guarantee of eternal life. Just like the original disciples, other believers in Christ also know we have this guarantee of eternal life. Why? Because the Bible says so.

Billions of humans over the centuries have rejected Christ because of their harden hearts, selfishness, living for the world, believing I am a good person, etc. On our own, none of us our good people. We are all sinners and will die in our sins unless we repent and accept Jesus Christ into our heart. There is no other way to salvation. Anything else is a lie.

Many over the centuries tried to prove that the Bible is wrong and not telling the truth, with no success.

Over the eons when you look at the vast majority of other groups that were following charismatic leaders, when that leader died, the groups disbanded completely or stayed irrelevant. These group were held together by the leader and not the message and promise. The groups that survived, many compromise their theology to become more acceptable to the masses and accommodate the world.

True Christian Bible Churches, have not altered the message from the original Bible (Both the old and new testaments). There are some so called Christian denominations/churches that have added theology to their message, this is wrong and cannot be supported by the Bible.

With this said, it has been a pleasure communicating with you over the last few weeks. I will also remember you and your family in my prayers.

God Bless and have a Merry Christmas.

          • Howard Kirshenbaum

Thank you, I had a wonderful Christmas with family. Mixed marriages are so great in that they allow one to spend twice the number of holidays with friends and family. No better way to celebrate any holiday.

“I know you are struggling to understand how people like myself and many others have surrender our lives to Jesus Christ.” Not in the least. It makes perfect sense for one to have found something that makes them feel that they are doing the right thing, to feel comfortable with their beliefs and actions. It is not unusual in the slightest as most all people of this world belong to some group that gives them this feeling. That’s why some people are Wicans., some are Satanists, some are Jews, etc.

I don’t doubt for a minute that these people who were Christ’s disciples truly believed all that he taught. But for the most part what he taught was an orthodoxy of Judaism. His problem was the corruption of that orthodoxy by the people in control of the government, which was probably the reason for his death. It is the stories that mimic some of the earlier mythologies that lead me to believe that many of the stories about Christ were not real even if the person actually was. (I don’t really doubt that)

Again, I don’t think that Christianity would have taken off any more that Judaism if it hadn’t been for the Roman Empire and their strength. Keep in mind all the people who were subjugated under Christian rule, how much land was taken and how many people died in order to further this peace loving religion. The reason the churches are losing as much as they are is because there isn’t this complete control that it had 200-300 years ago. People have books outside the religion that offer other beliefs and rationales as to how things really are. So now there are many truths and the underpinnings of Christianity are questioned with facts. Christianity can’t come up with an real facts that back up the concepts of their god and deity. Add to that the myriad of beliefs within the religion (all of which just muddy the waters of truth).

So there is no problem in my mind that each and every one of us has the right to believe in their own truth. You say over the years that so many have not been able to prove the religion wrong. Use the analogy of me asking you when it was that you stopped beating your wife. You can’t disprove a negative. You, however, have also not been able to prove with facts (other than 2000 year old books) that the religion and their stories are actually true.

Most of the men, women and children (yes, children) killed during the burning times where not witches at all, but Christians caught up in political upheaval and used as scapegoats. Thousands perished because of power plays that pitted one people against others. Read up on your history!

You know something…there really is no place for me. I am not a witch, but I am pagan. I am not a Satanist, except I’m considered one because I don’t worship the Christian god. I voted for Trump…I’m not a leftist, nor am I for abortion, and I am basically conservative. Am I to be barred because I believe differently? I don’t accept monotheism, and Christianity was the basis for the slaughter of my Saxon ancestors who refused to bow to the new god. I’m not for the left, but these silly little fundamentalist displays are really quite ridiculous, let’s stir up that patriotic fervor with religion. Forget it kids, politics has become too polarized and divisive. No thank you, I want nothing to do with the left or the right. I just can’t take this sh*t seriously anymore.

True European beliefs prior to Christianity did not even have a Satan nor any other evil anti-god. They had nothing to do with Satanism.

I am well aware of this. Yet those so called Christians will brand me as such because I don’t follow their ways.

  • Trump is the Devil.

Really? Unreal! What a bunch of fool’s!

Those that lable themselves “witches” are nothing of the sort. I’m surprised most people are stupid enough to believe that witches actually exist.

Boy oh boy….I know witches…they all like what OUR PRESIDENT is doing.
And none of them are evil demons….whether they can actually “cast a spell” is another matter all together..
    Happy Christmas all….
