With many colleges showing a favoritism for left leaning politics, it has become difficult for young conservatives to feel secure in their affiliations. For example, one student was punched in the face for supporting President Trump. Well now Trump himself is going to do something about it.
While speaking at the CPAC conference in Maryland, Trump singled out the incident that took place at the campus of the University of California at Berkeley. He invited the victim of the attack, Hayden Williams to join him and thanked him for “taking a hard punch in the face for all of us,” while advising him to see legal action.
“He’s going to be a very wealthy young man,” Trump said. “Go get ‘em, Hayden.”
Trump used the example to identify how the freedom of speech was being limited for conservatives at schools across the nation.
He shared that “very soon” he would be making an executive order that would dictate schools to “support free speech” if they had any desire to receive federal research funding.
“If they want our dollars, and we give it to them by the billions, they’ve got to allow people like Hayden…to speak,” Trump said to thunderous applause and chants of “USA!”
It looks like liberal colleges will finally be forced to tow the line.
