US Gov’t Sneaking Plutonium Between States

New revelations from the U.S. Department of Energy show that the government has been moving weapons-grade plutonium in secret.

Lawyers for the department explained that enough time had passed to protect national security and that was why the information had been declassified.

The volatile material was transferred from South Carolina to Nevada. Although, this was much to the chagrin of Nevada residents. State courts had been tasked with blocking the move, but unfortunately by the time they could protest the move had already been carried out.

In response, Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak expressed that he was “beyond outraged by this completely unacceptable deception.” He shared at a news conference that the state would pursue court orders to block additional shipments while it sought “any and all legal remedies.”

Sisolak claimed the “reckless disregard” for the safety of Nevada residents was something he would continue to fight. “They lied to the state of Nevada, misled a federal court, and jeopardized the safety of Nevada’s families and environment,” he admonished.
